I say "uh oh sweetie, what are you doing?" She replies in her sweet, innocent voice, "I shaving!". She's sat on the counter a few times while Daddy does this and it's not her fault Cool Whip looks like Edge!

I Shaving
After making fruit salad yesterday I gave Reagan the mostly empty Cool Whip container thinking she'd enjoy the creamy sweetness of it. I resumed my cleaning and then Reagan walked around the corner rubbing her cheeks like this....

I love this first picture. Little profiles are just so cute to me. Zoe and Reagan were sitting side by side so it's a little confusing at first.
We had a fun day last Saturday. Just the girls. Yvette, Katie and Zoe came up and joined Heidi, Reagan and I for the day. We went to Gardner Village and walked around and then went to Wheeler Farm for a picnic and to enjoy the (stinky) animals! Of course you can't get 3 kids to look at the camera at the same time with so much going on but I have 20 pictures of "trying"!

BFF's
This is Reagan's first "best friend" (one sided I'm sure!). Now you are probably wondering about the age difference but that's what makes it so sweet. AnnLea is 9. She lives next door and Reagan just adores her. She wants to see her first thing when we get home at night. AnnLea is a great sport because she would be followed around all day if possible. She comes over and will push Reagan in the swing, blow bubbles for her, or search for bugs with her. I just thought this picture was so cute. Little friends enjoying some ice cream.

My Wonderful Surprise!!
So I have to post this because I am SO excited! Today, the UPS drops off a package. I open it because it has my name on it. Inside is a t-shirt from 80's tees.com (for all you 80's fans this has the coolest stuff!). It says "Dunder Mifflin Inc.". I'm wondering what this is all about then realized that it is from the TV show "The Office" (based in Scranton, PA). So I text Mike and say "Did you order a t-shirt?" He said "No, maybe Jen did". (Jen is my wonderful friend who lives in PA). I figured she did but thought it was weird-even for Jen:O) So then he says "It's for the tour!". I'm thinking "HUH?". Then I call him (hoping but not getting my hopes up) "so does this mean I'm going to PA?" When he says "yes" it's all I can do to not start crying!! This is an AWESOME gift. It's amazing that not only Jen, but MIKE kept this a secret for a few weeks. So, in a few weeks I am off to PA! I'm feeling very loved right now!

I am grateful
Although Mother's Day at my house was met with a bit of challenge (see below), it was also met with some "gratefulness". There is a long list of things but here are just a few:
*Having a healthy, happy, beautiful child
*Having TWO mothers that are great examples
*A wonderful husband who helps around the house and works hard to provide for us, and who is the most amazing father to our daughter
*A warm home which is shelter from the wicked world around us
*Family
*Faith in knowing someone above loves and believes in me as a person no matter what I do/don't do in this life
*This beautiful, free country we live in
*Trials and daily challenges for without those, who would define what we become
and,
*Aunt Heidi who is so much help with Reagan (those of you with no family around will understand the wonder of an Aunt who loves her niece and is willing to give me a break)
Here is my sweet girl, for once, posing for the camera. We love you all!!

The Look
This look sums it all up. Our attempt to celebrate my niece Katie's birthday at the Dinosaur Museum. It was Katie's birthday today and she chose to have it at Thanksgiving Point. A place all kids love...ok, ALL kids BUT MY DAUGHTER! I'm going to blame it on her doctor experience lately but she was in no way, no how, liking this exhibit. Her look below was the "no way can you paint something on my face". Cute, right? Well only if it's not you.
Now today, Mother's Day, Heidi and I go to a salon to have pedicures. Relaxing, right? Well not if you are with MY CHILD!! (which we drug there only because Mike was "working" the Jazz game) Oh my! Well the relaxing fun hour turned into about 10 minutes of hysteria as she screamed bloody murder at everything around her so I left and poor Heidi had to sit there by herself. I must say..her toes looked cute while mine look chipped and cracked. Bummer. So any advice on a child who is absolutely afraid of everything from swimming, cats, salons, etc would be GREATLY appreciated.

Tubes
This week Reagan had tubes placed in her ears again along with her adenoids removed. She had infection after infection the past month and we were hoping to postpone the need to have tubes again with the warmer weather but no luck. Her adenoids were full of infection and so we are hoping that those were the evil things causing all the problems.
I can't even imagine taking your child in for major surgery! The anxiety with this is enough.
We were wondering how she was going to get from our arms to the table without hysteria, but the anesthesiologist who came to get her was an older doctor so we excitingly said "Hey! It's Grandpa"! She went willingly and hopefully he gave her hugs before he put her under :O) She came out fighting and we could hear her screaming for several minutes before a nurse comes in and has the "I can't wait to hand this child over" look. I really should have warned the nurses about her last experience with these! She was fightin' mad, trying to rip out her IV. Her poor face was so swollen from the guard used to hold her mouth while they removed the adenoids. In all the madness they had trying to get her calmed down they forgot to give her pain medication, so it was a rough few hours! I'm pretty sure all those poor kids waiting to have their tonsils out were scared to death after we left!! She hasn't slept through an entire night yet but we are hoping that's soon.

A New Bike!
What happens when...
you have a 22 month old who is watching Barney (eek) with a cup of yogurt (her parents gave her), and then she is left unsupervised?? Well, she decides to rub the yogurt over her legs as if applying lotion, not to mention sitting on the coffee table applying a thick layer to that!
You can understand from the second picture how one look at her puppy eyes and it's all you can do to smile.

Super Hero
So Weds I picked Rea up from school (otherwise known as daycare...but school sounds so much smarter right?)and she was dressed in boy overalls with a striped polo, size 12 months (so you can imagine how they looked). She had soaked through everything while napping. It's not unusual that this happens. Mike thinks that they dress the boys in girl clothes and the girls in boy clothes, if only to deter the parents from never bringing them back!!
So Thursday I walk into the Giggle Ducks (as her cute little class of toddlers is referred to), and there was my princess dressed as a super hero! Apparently, she had thrown up slightly on her shirt and insisted on taking it off. I had yet to bring back the other outfit so she gets to wear her "jammies" all day. She was so proud of them!!!
P.S. The glasses weren't an accessory...they were from the cereal box :O)
I have powers!

Happy Birthday Mikey!
So today (March 30th) is Mike's 35th birthday! He wanted to have a few people over on Saturday to play Guitar Hero, so we decided to make it fun and have everyone dress up. Oh my heck, Mike's pants were the life of the party. Who knew a dude could wear women's pants :O) We had a lot of fun, sang some songs (Derk won best vocalist...we all knew there was no way a McEwen would!), pounded some drums, strummed our fake guitars, and partied like rock stars...well kind of, since the party ended at 9 p.m. so the kids could come home!! What a blast.
Happy Birthday Sweetie. We love you!

Easter Weekend
We had a wonderful Easter Weekend in Idaho. Mike's sister Sara, her new baby girl Kennedy, and her family along with his brother and fiancee were all there. It's not very often we are all together so we actually got a family portrait taken - I think the first professional one since, what? 1979 or something :) They turned out really nice.
It's so much fun for Reagan to play with all her cousins. When I was growing up we didn't have any that lived around and few that were even the younger kids' ages so I love the fact that Reagan has plenty to play with, be buddies with, and hopefully be really good friends with when older. We are so blessed to have such wonderful families!
Here are a few photos from the weekend.
P.S. When you get to the last clip it's really shaky but I was laughing so hard, and you have to listen over the music to hear her barking!
