Party #2

And not to be outdone....my friend Michelle, Heidi, and I had our combined b-day bash the same day as Reagan's birthday. My parents were down, we had plenty of friends to help celebrate, and best of all....we had Michelle's dream of the Party Pony Harley!! It was so much fun and the kids had a blast.

Reagan Turns 3!

Saturday was Reagan's 3rd birthday. Wow! Our "baby" is 3. It's crazy to think of how time flies. I'm sure our parents think the same thing but I remember the day she was born like it was last month. I interviewed Reagan because she was "Star of the Month" at school. Here were some of her answers....

What is your favorite color? Pinkalicious and Purplicious
What is your favorite movie? Monsters Inc.
What is your favorite drink? SODA!!!!! (I know, I know, moms are cringing all over)
What is your favorite thing to do? Play
What is your favorite book? Pinkalicious
What is your favorite song? Sweet Ffing (that's thing)

And so the list went on. Things I love about Reagan are she is a sweet girl. Sure, she drives me insane sometimes but she has the sweetest little understanding personality. At the tender age of 3, she definately understands emotions and why people are sad or what makes them sad/happy. She already cries at sad parts in the movies (even in cartoons). However, she is also as silly/goofy as all get out. (She gets this from her dad-in a good way). She can tell if you are upset or mad and tries to make you laugh or smile. Always a comedian and she loves to entertain. She loves to play with her dolls, color, read, go shopping, and sing. She loves to talk talk talk. I've had people comment what a talker she is or does she ever stop?? I usually just laugh and say "Not since the day she was born"!!
Three years ago they placed this tiny, amazingly beautiful, baby girl in my arms and I was instantly in love. Today, 3 years later, I love to sneak into her room at night and just watch and kiss the same beautiful girl, and thank God for allowing me to be her mother!

So....how did we celebrate??? I went with a cute cupcake theme. Reagan had some friends over that morning for a birthday bash. Carly, Emily, Kinlee, Zoe, Katie, and her teacher from school Jessica, all joined in for lunch, decorating cupcakes and playing. It was so much fun and it's just adorable watching the friendships that your child has made. She was so excited for days that her "buddies" were coming over to play and celebrate. I made cute little aprons for all the girls and each time I finished one she would tell me who that belonged to. It was a fun day for her.

Dance Recital

Reagan's first dance recital (or what you would refer to as dance-smile) was this past week. Her song Once Upon a Dream, so of course they are our little Cinderellas. While they don't do much "dancing", the audience loved them because, of course, how could you resist this.....

Chalk Art Festival

Last night we decided to venture to the Chalk Art Festival at Gateway. This is sponsered by Utah Foster Care to raise awareness. We rode TRAX down to entertain Reagan. (mostly a waste of money and time since you could drive home 3 over the time it takes you on that thing). The weather was perfect. We had a nice dinner at then walked the streets to look at all the art that was being done. I'm sure it would be much cooler to see them completed, but we enjoyed looking at them in the process and SO amazing that these artists can do this with chalk, fingers, and paintbrushes. However, a dirty hobby!
We ended the night with a sweet treat and joined the mass amounts of kids running through the fountains.

Not sure at first...

then started having a blast.

Cute!

When I picked Reagan up from daycare today she was so excited to show me her "daddy book". I didn't look at it until we got home, and when she gave it to Mike she said "Haaaapy Father's Day" (ahhhhh). We were laughing so hard when we read it. I took pictures and I'll translate. Apparently, they must have questioned her because there is no way they would know most of these things! I'll interpret for you.

My Dad is 1 years old. He weighs 5 lbs and is 2 ft tall. His hair is black and his eyes are blue (hey, 2 out of 5 isn't bad!)

The favorite thing my dad likes to do is play toys with me. He likes to wear...pants!

Daddy always tells me go in time out, wear those things when you ride the bike

When my daddy goes shopping he loves to buy...me a scooter for my birthday -see PS at end of post....

I really love it when my dad...tickles my neck (it's true!! she's loved this since she was a bitty baby)

P.S. In reference to the blasted scooter which is her current obsession....yes, we did buy her the exact one she wanted last weekend for her upcoming birthday and CRAPOLA we forgot to put it away and when Aunt Heidi brings her home later that day she instantly see the thing. She's screaming "oh my goodness" while covering her mouth with her hand and her eyes are just glowing and it's the sweetest thing but on the inside I'm swearing up a storm.

She gets sidetracked and I stick it....under the bed. Safe enough place right? I mean, she's 2/3. So tonight I'm trying to find a duffel bag......under the bed!!!!! You know the result. She wants to be like me, goes around to the other side....and... "oh, oh, is this my scooter". We say, "No, it's not, it's just an empty box. We have to take that in and get you a real one if you are really good. Your birthday is in one week". Then...she proceeds to SHAKE the
#@$%#$ box!!!
"No sir, it's in there, I can feel it, see, I can hear it" SERIOUSLY GIRL...YOU ARE KILLING US!!!! So now her main present isn't much of a surprise. I'm totally bummed but hey, she'll get what she wanted and maybe she'll still get all silly and cute about it.
