Blessing Day

Sunday, we had the opportunity to bless Kade. My dad gave a wonderful blessing and Reagan was SOOOO excited to have her "family" come for a "special family day" event. My mom knitted his outfit. I know it took her hours and she restarted it a ton of times so thank you thank you!! It was beautiful. Wish you could see the detail in the pictures. How grateful we are for wonderful family and friends who were able to celebrate this day with us! We often talk about how blessed we are for our families. With family coming into town for the weekend we thought an indoor swim would be lots of fun...and it was! You couldn't go two at a time on the slide but that didn't stop the little ones from shooting down it. Can't wait for the heat to arrive so we can cool off with a day at the pool. It will indeed be interesting with two kids, one being a 4 month old. However, there are a lot of kid-friendly pools and since Reagan absolutely loves to swim, we'll find a way to make it work.

Jazz Fever

Reagan loves the Jazz. She was SO excited when Mike brought home these jerseys. She immediately put it on and has even slept in it. How can you not cheer the home town team on. If she sees someone out and about with something Jazz, she thinks they somehow "are" the Jazz. How can you not love and support the hometown team :)

Which one of these things is not like the others....which one of these things does not belong! What happens when a 3 year old GIRL is left alone with her baby brother!

Happenings around here

I feel like I need to have a creative title for posts. Sometimes...there just aren't any available!
The past few weeks I have been taking the kids to story time at the Library. They do this almost every day but I can tolerate it only a few days. Last week we ventured to McD's for lunch-along with almost EVERY mom who was at story time! We both made us some new friends and it lets Reagan just run wild with the other kids. Saturday, we ventured to Barnes and Noble for their story time..too many stories are NOT a bad thing :) We had Reagan's little friend Emily with us as her mom was working. The girls had fun and we followed that up with a picnic at the farm. The girls rode their bikes around and it was beautiful outside.

I love this picture. Reagan and Cooper were wrestling like 2 boys. Tackling each other and laughing. Growing up, we didn't have cousins around. Sure, we had a million kids to play with but no cousins. I was worried that by the time we got around to having kids, our siblings would be all done. Thank goodness they weren't because Reagan has so much fun with her cousins. Cousins rock.


Monday, I met Emily and her mom Paige at the zoo. The girls had a fabulous time (and even showed up wearing the same capri's-gotta love Target). It was crowded as everyone in town had the same idea but we spent a few hours running around and playing. Kade did fabulous and slept most of the time.






Reagan stopped taking dance and started gymnastics. Her dance was on Tuesdays and since I'm not working Tuesdays, I decided I didn't want to drive there for dance! We got her signed up for the gymnastics through the community classes. Way cheap. I find it rather boring. She was beyond excited the first time and has still been excited about it but I think she would eventually get bored. There isn't enough moving around. It's a lot of doing this then waiting a few turns to do something again. Maybe that's why I think it's boring :O) But, it's not about me....it's about her! You would think that we would have her in some type of sporting event!! I actually dread the day she wants to play soccer. I've never been a soccer fan and every time I drive by the fields just FULL of soccer kids and parents I think "yuck, glad that's not me". One day I'm sure....

Randoms

Finally..beautiful weather. I'm sure it will go into way too hot weather soon. We've been out each day to enjoy. Yesterday was Wheeler Farm. We arrived exactly one hour after twin baby goats were born! Still wet and sleeping peacefully. So cute. Met up with my friend and her girls at Murray Park today. Sunshine, soft breeze, scary moment of Kade tipping over in his stroller (eek!), followed by quiet time while I catch up blogging and Reagan reads in her room.

This is sort of gross...pig one walks over to trough, gets in and pees in it then lays down..pig 2 walks over and starts drinking out of it!! yucko

Reagan is not afraid in the least to stick her hand in any animal pen. Loves to touch and poke. Sanitizer is handy.

Yummy! I love cupcakes. These are from a yummy story called So Cupcake. I picked up a few (ok more than a few) little yummy treats to snack on (before) we touched all the pigs.

Rea's face is funny. She kept sitting in this little chair that spins around. She got stuck on the spin cycle. We were laughing, she wasn't so sure.

Kader Tot turns TWO MONTHS!!

When Mike was a baby, he was called "Spud", hence the "tater tot" modified...I cannot even believe it's been two months!! He stills seems like just a wee little baby but then you pick him up he does seems much older. I took him in for his 2 month visit and he is a whopping 13 pounds!! He has grown 2 inches as well. He's our chunky monkey I guess. Reagan weighed in at 9 pounds at that visit and was a shade shorter. He is really strong already and can hold his head up for a few minutes. He is attentive and wide eyed. My parents would never believe it after spending a few days with him crying and fussing, but overall, he is a very happy little guy. He loves his baths, hates to be naked or rubbed with lotion, loves to smile, drool, eat, sleep, poop, and ride in the car! I say this because from day one Reagan cried in the car. Trips anywhere were a nightmare. She would literally cry for 4 hours driving to Idaho. Little Kade instantly falls asleep....hear that....silence=heaven=happy parents traveling. So while he sleeps, Reagan won't be quiet!
Most people say he looks like Mike's dad/brother or even Mike. He definately doesn't look like Reagan nor my side of the family. He's got gorgeous baby blues like his daddy. (Girls got boring brown) Still can't believe he's here and he's ours. Happy 2 month birthday little man.

Easter Weekend

We had an enjoyable Easter weekend in Idaho with family. The Easter bunny found Nana and Papa's house and delivered a digital camera for Rea, along with candy and a load of other good things. Now, when I go to use the camera, I'm hoping to not find 20 pictures of random blurry things (including Papa picking his nose or me feeding Kade!) that I have to delete. It was cold, cold, cold and windy so we didn't venture out to do any Easter Egg hunting. Reagan had one at school before we left so she didn't even ask to do one on our own.

Reagan, Kade and I stayed in Idaho for a few more days. Probably wasn't the most relaxing few days trying to please the two kids and keep peace at someone else's house, followed by Kade's first bout with an ear infection :( Let's hope this isn't the start of de ja vu (his pediatrician was surprised he had one at such a young age and didn't sound too promising at healthy ear outcome).

The story behind this is cute. Papa and Reagan would spend a VERY long time "playing" Twister. Papa would spin the dial then say "Do a somersault" or "put your head on the red circle". They made up their OWN rules and it worked great for Reagan...she loved it.
