A New Bike!
Reagan got an early birthday present this weekend. She had fun being pushed around on her bike (until she insisted "run mommy" and mommy did and off she fell hitting her cheek on the handles!).
What happens when...
you have a 22 month old who is watching Barney (eek) with a cup of yogurt (her parents gave her), and then she is left unsupervised?? Well, she decides to rub the yogurt over her legs as if applying lotion, not to mention sitting on the coffee table applying a thick layer to that!
You can understand from the second picture how one look at her puppy eyes and it's all you can do to smile.

Super Hero
So Weds I picked Rea up from school (otherwise known as daycare...but school sounds so much smarter right?)and she was dressed in boy overalls with a striped polo, size 12 months (so you can imagine how they looked). She had soaked through everything while napping. It's not unusual that this happens. Mike thinks that they dress the boys in girl clothes and the girls in boy clothes, if only to deter the parents from never bringing them back!!
So Thursday I walk into the Giggle Ducks (as her cute little class of toddlers is referred to), and there was my princess dressed as a super hero! Apparently, she had thrown up slightly on her shirt and insisted on taking it off. I had yet to bring back the other outfit so she gets to wear her "jammies" all day. She was so proud of them!!!
P.S. The glasses weren't an accessory...they were from the cereal box :O)
I have powers!

Happy Birthday Mikey!
So today (March 30th) is Mike's 35th birthday! He wanted to have a few people over on Saturday to play Guitar Hero, so we decided to make it fun and have everyone dress up. Oh my heck, Mike's pants were the life of the party. Who knew a dude could wear women's pants :O) We had a lot of fun, sang some songs (Derk won best vocalist...we all knew there was no way a McEwen would!), pounded some drums, strummed our fake guitars, and partied like rock stars...well kind of, since the party ended at 9 p.m. so the kids could come home!! What a blast.
Happy Birthday Sweetie. We love you!

Easter Weekend
We had a wonderful Easter Weekend in Idaho. Mike's sister Sara, her new baby girl Kennedy, and her family along with his brother and fiancee were all there. It's not very often we are all together so we actually got a family portrait taken - I think the first professional one since, what? 1979 or something :) They turned out really nice.
It's so much fun for Reagan to play with all her cousins. When I was growing up we didn't have any that lived around and few that were even the younger kids' ages so I love the fact that Reagan has plenty to play with, be buddies with, and hopefully be really good friends with when older. We are so blessed to have such wonderful families!
Here are a few photos from the weekend.
P.S. When you get to the last clip it's really shaky but I was laughing so hard, and you have to listen over the music to hear her barking!

Eggs-cellent Egg Hunt
My friend Michelle and Heidi did all the leg work for our fantastic Egg Hunt! We had Michelle's daughter Abbey and her beautiful, blue-eyed baby Sophia, The Toone family (AKA the ABC family) Allison, Bob, Cambree, Dawson and Easton (who are less than a few months apart and according to the photos Reagan can't chose between, Michelle's brother-in-law/wife with their grandson Zane, Matt & Yvette, Katie and Zoe,-and Reagan.
The kids had fun running around finding things. Not soon after we started it began snowing and didn't stop so we did it just in time. We had treats and drinks. The kids left with sugar veins and today, we woke to a few inches of snow and another blustery day. Thanks Michelle and Heidi! It was a blast.

B.F.F.
Our own little Milk Ad! (actually it's yogurt). This (again) is Reagan and her BFF Coot! It's more like a one sided friendship right now. Like "Cooter come here NOW", "Where's the doggie?" "Cooter, sit sit sit" or "down Cooter down". He's exhausted and probably more than happy to see Reagan climb in her carseat for good! You would think if we were good parents we'd get a dog for her but I'm convinced she'd not love it as much as her Grandma's dog so we'll just satisfy her love every now and then with a trip to Idaho :O)

Our Friday Night!
Ok, you are probably thinking this is a random, non-entertaining picture! I just wanted to show you how exciting our Friday night was! So let me explain...
The hardest part for me with having a child (no, not the sleepless nights or dirty diapers or relentless runny noses..) is adjusting to clutter and a dirty house! Blame it on my parents :) Probably my mom's only sanity while raising us 9 kids was that we did chores every morning. This was during school time, summer time, whatever. We had the largest chore chart in history hanging in our kitchen! We ALL had chores. If it was wiping down the bathroom, running a vacuum through the living room or whatever.
ANYWAY....I'm kind of a clean freak. I've always cleaned my house every weekend. From top to bottom. Now when it was just Mike and I there was no real need for that as half the time we spent no time anywhere but the living room and our bedroom. It's the first thing I would do every Saturday morning. Now get on with the story right!
Well Friday is "jammy day" at my house. This entails Reagan and I lounging around in our jammies for most of the day. While sitting there playing with my sweet little girl, I realized with anxiety, that my house.....eeek!....had not had a good cleaning in months. Of course, cluttered with toddler toys, books, wipes, etc. but not a good clean the baseboards, scrub the doors, clean. Sooooo, I asked Heidi to have a sleepover at her house so Mike and I could clean!!! YEAH!!!!
You can imagine his excitement at the matter but as you can witness in the picture-he jumped right in.
SO THANK YOU AUNT HEIDI!!
I had the most peaceful (clean) feeling Saturday morning. After about 4 hours of cleaning the house smelled great, looked great, and yes, an hour after Reagan was home, it was cluttered BUT it was CLEAN!!!!
Not a romantic weekend but for my own mental cleanly mind...it was AWESOME!

Isn't she sweet!
Here she is...all 19 months of her. Just a few of her favorite sayings:
Alright Alright
Come here
Sit Sit Sit
Watch out
Go Away!
Have it
Hold you
Do these sound like demanding phrases she has learned or what!! and MY favorite...
Poo Poo Potty DADDY! (which is followed by me laughing as Mike whisks her up and runs up the stairs saying....don't go yet, don't go yet)
She's officially in training pants but today's been a rough day! She has a nice big chart with lots of stickers so we hope it's bye bye diapers for good. Any words of advice would be appreciated!
