Here he is...the man of the hour...or wait, month? Our little guy is not so little anymore. Weighing in at 15 lbs 1 oz and 24 1/2 inches long! Not to mention 75% of head size :) My baby is just like his daddy. My fair skinned, blue eyed, beatiful little boy is SO adorable. Pretty sure he's going to have red/uh...maybe strawberry blonde hair. He loves loves loves to smile. Happy when he wakes up, happy when he goes down. Only not happy when he is hungry or tired (I know..just like all babies?) He loves to eat, suck on his fingers (yes, I hope this isn't a habit), walk around outside with daddy, and be sitting up period. He's not much of a snuggler which is a little sad but look at his big blue eyes and a smile lights up his face. Happy 4 months baby. We love you :)

Being a Mother
In light of Mother's Day, my birthday, Reagan's birthday, and in just being...I was thinking about what I love about being a mom. Here are a few:
snuggling in bed
hugs and kisses and the best 4 words out of a 3/4 year old mouth "i love you mommy"
seeing them smile
hearing sweet baby laughter
listening to Reagan read
listening to her sweet voice sing
singing together
smelling the clean, sweet smell of Kade
simple, quiet evenings
watching a child struggle with wake
praying for them
learning from them, that in spite of my bad days as a mom, the end of the day brings forgiveness
seeing the joy in their eyes from simple things
hearing Reagan's excitment when Mike comes home
having an amazing husband at my side to be their dad
What do you love?

Little of this....lot of that
I'm not exactly what is a little or a lot anymore. Time is just going too fast so throw in a little and a lot and there it is. Let's see....We enjoyed swimming a few days last week and some outings in the sunshine as well.

Last weekend we went to Idaho so I could have a "sisters" weekend. My brother-in-law's aunt has a "party barn", which is basically a big ol' house built to entertain. We were lucky to enjoy it, and each other's company. Family dynamics are good, bad, fun, not so fun, loving, probably a little not loving, but in the end...it's your gift from the man upstairs. I'm not sure about the others, but I had a VERY enjoyable weekend. The food was good, company even better. We stayed up until wee hours laughing like teenagers and got lots of card making, scrapbooking, crafty goodness, and did I say eating...done. Fabulous weekend so thanks sisters for who you are, what you each mean to me, and for taking time out of your lives to share with me. Also, a big shout goes out to all the MEN in our lives for making it possible. Bribery goes a long way :O)

I imagine, looking through pictures of me over the course of however-many-years-I-am....you would find quite a few of these. She's as silly as they come and I seemed to have a fascination of sticking objects in my nose for the camera.

Memorial Day Weekend
There are some people you meet, befriend, and "belong" to. I've been very fortunate in my lifetime to have some very awesome friends. From the time I was young, to my teenage years, college years, and current years I have been fortunate (and blessed) with awesome friends. They may not have been the "friends you grow up with" or the "we were friends instantly" type of friends, but they are all my "eternal friends". I love my friends! I do. I'm so grateful to every one, for their different personalities, for what they bring out in me whether it be silly or serious, and for being food for my soul. The kind that I know will be there always no matter the time, distance, disagreements, etc. My friend Jennifer, is one of those :O) She's the kind of friend that spends nearly ALL her vacation time visiting us in Utah, not a beach, not the happiest place on earth, but Sandy, Utah! She spent her long weekend entertaining Reagan, being patient with a baby, crying through a chick flick with me, and being generous. Thank you Mike for always being so understanding of girl time! Here are some pictures she took on her camera, because of course I was too lazy to use mine?! Sorry they are small, can't figure out how to configure them.

The story behind this Chick-fa-la cow is that Reagan is deathly and when I say that I mean DEATHLY afraid of this cow. She will literally come unglued. Unglued!! Hide under tables, scream at the top of her lungs, and become absolutely, 100% terrified. I really really wanted to take her to Disneyland this year for her birthday but a few fearful moments of her with "the Bee", "the Cow", and the Jazz Bear have me convinced a day in the happiest place on earth might not be so happy!!

He looks like Shrek right!?

I cannot believe how grown up she is starting to look!

Where did May go?
I cannot believe it's June already! It's rainy outside today. I'm SO running out of good indoor ideas! Please, please sun, come to stay awhile (like longer than a day at a time). The past few weeks we've had fun outings with friends and family.
Trying out skates for the first time!

I started Kade on rice a week or so ago. He was wanting to eat every hour it seemed and even reaching out for food we were eating. He's probably a little young but nothing like rice to plump him up.

Kangaroo Zoo bounce house was lots of fun with friends Pearl, Suzie, Racer and Reagan (the 2nd Reagan). The kids had fun and because kids are still in school there were only 2 families there.

I like this picture because Racer kept trying to munch on Kade. He's going in for the kill.

We enjoyed a Bees game one night while my friend Jen was out. Kade was a little fussy until we could get him settled down and asleep, but he slept through the LOUD fireworks at the end.

Enjoying some sun at Murray Park

Who should tell her Kade doesn't really fit in "this" crib! He was all smiles though.

Princess Amerah
This beautiful princess was a special treat at story time this week. She sang a song, read her book (Princess Amerah and the Magic Dress) and then the kids got their pictures taken with her. She was beautiful and well, just like a real princess. You can tell by Rea's face she was SO excited to meet her (and her cute dog). Hhhmmmm, wonder if she can make a guest appearance for Rea's birthday this year??

Happy Moment
I got this picture on my phone yesterday at work from Kade's teacher Kelly. Reagan LOVED Kelly when she was in the Wiggle Frogs and Teddy Bears. It's obvious that Kelly makes Kade smile too!! It's a rest-assured moment that my child is TOTALLY FINE at daycare! (not to mention how grown up he is in his big boy chair!)

Every girls dream....
This past weekend we attended a wedding. Reagan was SO excited for days about the wedding. Remember the movie 27 Dresses? This is my daughter (well hopefully she's not in that many weddings). She loves all things girlie and princessy. That's a wedding. She loved seeing the bride, was randomly socializing with bridesmaids we didn't know, and wanted to, but was shy to, dance with the handsome "prince". It was cute!

A mother...
Every little girl wants to be a mother. They spend hours playing mother to dolls, barbies, little kids, etc. Most girls don't really like their mother's at some point. Mother's aren't cool at some points. They get a lot of eye rolling, dirty lookings' and you don't understandings. But thankfully, little girls grow up. They usually become mothers of some sort. Whether it be a mother directly, a mother to those seeking advice, or a mother to nieces, nephews, etc..and then, hopefully then, can they appreciate their mothers! I've been in all those categories above. I am now a taxi driver, boogie picker, hug and kiss giver, maid, cook, etc. I am exhausted some nights (and I have ONLY 2 children). However, through it all, I would change not a thing. I love all the mothers in my life. Those that have been mothers to me. The one who obviously gave birth to me, nurtured me, loved me in spite of me, and now continues to encourage me to be a good mother. I love all my friends mother's who helped raise me, Mike's mother, who obviously raised three awesome kids. His grandmother's who raised his parents and their kids to be loving, caring family members. I love my SISTERS both blood and heaven sent and for the examples that they are to me as mother's. I have many flaws as a mother. If you dwell on this, it's a little disappointing. However, I have many wonderful attributes as a mother as well so I try to focus on these and hopefully improve the flaws I find. Nobody is ever perfect and I know that. At the end of it all, a simple "I love you" in the middle of a conversation, a smile or coo from my sweet baby, a loving look from my husband when he sees me with my kids..this is all that matters. So to all of you WOMEN out there...Happy (belated) Mother's Day!!
Remembering...
This adorable little outfit is awesome. Awesome because it belonged to Mike when he was a baby!! Awesome that something made in the 70's still is in great shape. You think some kid clothes made today would outlast almost 40 years?? Mike's mom is known for holding onto things :O) I couldn't find it when Kade was first born and then I searched and there it was. So it's a little snug if you couldn't tell. A little snug equals loads of cuteness!

Happenings
Gnome-n around

This is a reminder to me that my sometimes sweet, sometimes impossible, little girl really misses being the center of our world. She still is, now she just shares it. I couldn't find her, looked and looked, and then, sigh....

Ever have one of those days...I had to take this so I could remember....someday in the future when we don't butt heads (yeah, I know, RIGHT!)

A smile says it all...I love this little man

You can't tell from the picture but Kader LOVES his baths!

Dinosaur Museum was fun this time around (do you remember the petrified picture of Reagan in tears with her hands on her cheeks??)...we visited with Coop and Kennedy, Aunt Sara and Aunt Amy. Kids loved it.

This was dinner set up for our "special family get-together". Carrots and water. Yum! Reagan had many of these occasions after the blessing.

Enjoying a sunny day (psssttt, sun, can you come back??)
