Baby Leg


It's officially a boy! I spared you the "private parts" picture which was very obvious. We are all so excited to be adding to our family. Reagan told us "I knew it was a brother". She's been so cute lately always wanting to hug him (my belly) and kisses it numerous times a day. I got so tired of replying when she was asking when he was "ripping out of my belly" that we have told her after Christmas and lots of snow! I'm feeling great and the best news is we were apparently 18 days off somewhere in the time table!! Not sure how that happens but both the sonographer and the doctor said I was almost 21 weeks so that puts my new due date at March 1st...even better :)

Easter Trip

I had the opportunity to travel back east (Boston, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Connecticut) with my mom, sisters Aroha and Heather. Thanks to all the men in our lives who made this possible. Mike only had to keep track, feed, transfer, and care for one child. My sisters each have 5 kids so for a very long week on their husbands part I'm sure, there kids were well taken care of, although they missed their mamas.
This is the first time I have been back during foliage season. My camera does it no justice because it was absolutely beautiful. (And then I dropped it in a puddle of rain so the quality wasn't the best and I had to use an old school disposable camera for most of the time). We started out in Boston and spent a day walking around the city. Taking the Freedom Trail tour which is a simple historical events of the nation. Pretty interesting. Sights included a cemetery that houses Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, John Hancock, etc. The oldest park in the U.S. Boston Common, the site of the apparent Boston Massacre and the town hall where the declaration of Independence was read.
We then met my mom who had already been there for a week visiting with nursing school friends (50 year reunion for them!). We drove up to New Hampshire and stayed a few days visiting there. I have already been back there a few times but it never ceases to amaze me. The country back east is completely different than the west and you have no idea how until you actually visit and not just see pictures. You never see towns-only trees, and maybe an occasional church steeple peeking through. It's also very odd driving there because you can't just exit the freeway, go under an overpass and get back on the same freeway...it's a drive through town or manipulating back roads. We found that out fast and didn't perfect it by the time we were done! Mom got to see some family and we got to see all her childhood haunts. It's also fun that you can drive for a day and be in 4 or 5 states. We also went to Salem, Massachusets, town of the witch hunts. A little odd, and sort of creepy! The last day we spent in Maine. It was a fun, memorable trip and thanks again to my sisters for going and Mom for letting us tag along.

Fall is A Favorite...

Notice that I didn't say "my" favorite :) I do love fall. I love all seasons actually..for a month or two. I love summer but I was definately ready for some cooler temperatures. With that being said...where did time go? Here it is the middle of October. Christmas is only a few months away! We will enjoy the fall and especially October preparing for Halloween with pumpkin patches, corn mazes, parties, and costumes. I consented this year and am letting Reagan be....a PRINCESS!

It was nice to pass the first trimester and start feeling better. I actually wanted to be out of the house and not sleeping, wanting to puke, or laying on the couch with absolutely no energy. As a result, Mike and Reagan benefited a little in that I was more willing to have some adventures. We've been on some nice bike rides, hikes, and around town. Here's a jumble of pics to prove it.

State Fair Day...Reagan enjoyed many more rides this year. This one went all tipsy turvy. I couldn't even watch it, it made me sick! We went on a very hot day so I didn't last long which on the up side I ate less.


This in and of itself is a miracle....we went hiking up Cottonwood this day and as everyone well knows, Reagan is carried way too much. Sorry, it's one of the "we learned for the next kid things". Hiking has always been "my legs are so tired" after 10 steps. However, this day she was off and hiking and didn't have to be carried until the very end (and we walked for a few hours!). She wanted to be the leader the whole time.



There is a cute garden center that does a fun Halloween setup each year. In past years this was one of her DO NOT go to places. She was better this year and only semi-freaked at some of the displays.

While on a new path along the Jordan River we discovered several little stocked, man made ponds. Totally cool. We spent some time fishing at one of them...until she got tired and wanted to play on the cool toys.

We obviously frequent Wheeler Farm. Rea probably could live on a farm and be in heaven. She honestly thinks these lambs talk to her. Every time we go she wants to go right to them

A little piece of Heaven....

Wed night was probably one of the highlights of the year so far for us :O) In anticipation of the Keith Urban concert, it's almost like waiting for Christmas. You talk it up, all the while growing more excited about it, the night comes and you get all silly excited, a few hours of entertainment where you are in heaven, then the next morning you wake up and it's like, really, it's all over. Bummer.
So we, (or Mike)strategically bought tickets going off of past concerts we have been to of his. It paid off! I imagine you have to like him (and sort of have a crush on him) to appreciate the pics and videos below. We, have both, and it was almost surreal seeing our little Country Rock Star up close. My friend Krista and her sisters were nearly killed in a mishap over a railing, but nobody cared because seeing Mr. Keith up close and personal (faded grey Levi's, scruffy shoes, sweat running down his arms, and smelling like love), was probably worth it around the table. He walked right by us and of course you can't not reach out to touch someone just so you can say you touched them. Silly, silly dreams that yes, we will replay the next time he comes around!

Labor Day Fun

We had a fun Labor Day weekend in Idaho. We met Mike's parents, sister and her family, and some family friends south of Kimberly to camp. Everyone (but us) has 4-wheelers so there was a lot of that, sitting around, eating, laughing, and getting dirty. I think that defines fun!
