Cute!

When I picked Reagan up from daycare today she was so excited to show me her "daddy book". I didn't look at it until we got home, and when she gave it to Mike she said "Haaaapy Father's Day" (ahhhhh). We were laughing so hard when we read it. I took pictures and I'll translate. Apparently, they must have questioned her because there is no way they would know most of these things! I'll interpret for you.

My Dad is 1 years old. He weighs 5 lbs and is 2 ft tall. His hair is black and his eyes are blue (hey, 2 out of 5 isn't bad!)

The favorite thing my dad likes to do is play toys with me. He likes to wear...pants!

Daddy always tells me go in time out, wear those things when you ride the bike

When my daddy goes shopping he loves to buy...me a scooter for my birthday -see PS at end of post....

I really love it when my dad...tickles my neck (it's true!! she's loved this since she was a bitty baby)

P.S. In reference to the blasted scooter which is her current obsession....yes, we did buy her the exact one she wanted last weekend for her upcoming birthday and CRAPOLA we forgot to put it away and when Aunt Heidi brings her home later that day she instantly see the thing. She's screaming "oh my goodness" while covering her mouth with her hand and her eyes are just glowing and it's the sweetest thing but on the inside I'm swearing up a storm.

She gets sidetracked and I stick it....under the bed. Safe enough place right? I mean, she's 2/3. So tonight I'm trying to find a duffel bag......under the bed!!!!! You know the result. She wants to be like me, goes around to the other side....and... "oh, oh, is this my scooter". We say, "No, it's not, it's just an empty box. We have to take that in and get you a real one if you are really good. Your birthday is in one week". Then...she proceeds to SHAKE the
#@$%#$ box!!!
"No sir, it's in there, I can feel it, see, I can hear it" SERIOUSLY GIRL...YOU ARE KILLING US!!!! So now her main present isn't much of a surprise. I'm totally bummed but hey, she'll get what she wanted and maybe she'll still get all silly and cute about it.

She marches to the beat of her own drum.....

We can hardly wait.....

In exactly ONE month, we will be staying at this beach house......

Doing lots of this......

How invited a warm summer afternoon filled with the sound of crashing waves as we listen to thunder in the sky and rain on the roof!! We can hardly wait!!

Song Bird II

Another round of a few cute songs. As soon as I can edit all her dancing ones I will post one of that. She has the best rump shake going on!!

The last clip on there is one of her "fixing" my hair. This is sometimes an obsession of Reagan's. She'll fix anyone's hair that will let her. Grandma Judy always gets "Shrek" ponies, Daddy has been told to "grow his hair out" and Aunt Heidi is always a patient participant. She has literally been able to put a real pony tail in hair since last year. It's crazy. She'll twist it 20 times and wa-la, a beautiful pony tail. We bought her one of those creepy heads for Christmas but she'd much rather put a human through the torture!

A busy, fun-filled weekend

What a busy weekend!! My niece, Kaitlin (Matt's daugther) turned eight last month. She was baptized on Saturday and so we had a fun-filled weekend with family. My sister Heather and her family came down for the event and stayed with us. My sister Aroha and her family were also able to come down and stayed with Heidi. Kaitlin's baptism was great and we are so proud of her. We had a yummy lunch at Matt's house after the event and were able to hang out with Yvette's family as well as my own.

Friday, we braved the zoo in the rain but it was actually very pleasant weather and the animals were all out. The kids loved it. We were also able to spend some time swimming and enjoying the kids (mostly) playing peacefully together.
We enjoy the company and love of family. In the end, that is what will matter most. Thank you to all my family for loving me and my family enough to want to make memories with!

(P.S. I have no idea why I can't get these pictures straightened out but the one on the left is a picture of Rea and I (with her cheesy smile) in our skirts my mom made us for my birthday. They are so cute and Reagan just loves to dance in hers. My mom had made a skirt for all the grand-daughters early this spring and they were so cute she is talented enought to "supersize" the pattern. Thanks mom!!

Can you tell I'm catching up!

Where do you look when you find a mess like this.....

Here of course

Sweet

Reagan and her cousin Sawyer. I love this picture!
We spent Memorial weekend in Idaho at Mike's parents. His sister Sara and her family were there also and we spent (ok, well the boys spent) the weekend building a cover for their patio. It was a lot of fun and the weather was great. They got it up with enough time to spare and took the kids fishing while the girls, well, what else, we crafted.

A sweet moment

What the boys worked on

What Cooper "worked" on

Cooper, Grandpa Buster, Grandma Pat and Reagan

If the fish aren't biting...I may as well pose

Cooper caught the only fish much to Reagan's disappointment. However, they both enjoyed eating it!

The Avid Reader

So to relate to my prior reading post, I um, was dying to finish a book the other night so I sat at the table after we were "mostly" finished eating and read. The next night, while we were eating, Reagan went and got a book (she enjoyed The Choice by Nicholas Sparks).

I grew up in the sticks. There wasn't much to do but entertain yourself. We would go to the town library every week and literally bring home a hundred books. We had maybe a few channels but we couldn't watch a lot of shows. Enter in my love for reading. I'm a book nerd. Honestly. I LOVE TO READ! Most of my family is the same way. We could have 10 in a room and everyone reading a book. I would say kindof sad huh, but it's not! I read at least a book a week. Sometimes two. I will read most anything but love mystery. This past week when Mike was gone I tried to read 3 different books but they were all freaking me out so I had to settle for Nicholas Sparks romance novel :O) I take a bath each night and will sit in there for an hour. My mom used to do the same thing. Course hers was to get away from her 10 children....mine is just a bad/good habit. Next, enter in Reagan's love for reading!! This is her favorite thing to do at nights. We read book after book after book. Sometimes ok, most times, it's exhausting and we are currently reading the SAME FOUR BOOKS over and over each night. However, she loves to read. I can't complain about that. Yes, there are sometimes when I would LOVE for her to watch an hour movie so I could get something done but on the other hand I'm glad that she's not addicted to TV (yet!). When we got married we had a TV in the bedroom and I eventually talked Mike into getting rid of it as he probably hadn't read a book since high school. We did, and he's a convert :)

I miss my computer, catching up, enjoying the sun and life in general

Cute picture of the kids (and dogs) at the door watching Grandpa Dick and Tom Cat.

So I've missed my computer. It was infected. I think it was the swine flu. Least that's what the media told me. It's been at the doctor for a few weeks now, we get it back and heck, it's still infected. Why pay money for something that didn't get fixed :) Anyway, it's back, I'm in love, and life continues. We don't do a lot of surfing the internet but for basic blogging, blog-stalking, and email checking, it was missed. The past few weeks have been very busy. Happy Belated Mother's day to all Mother's out there. We had a wonderful weekend in Idaho celebrating. The weather was gorgeous and the company even better. It's been a beautiful week here and I'm afraid we are jumping into a heated summer very soon. Mike was in CA this past week and Reagan and I were able to do some fun things on the days I was off and also at nights with the weather so nice. She has been taking dance and loves it. She likes to show everyone "how I put my legs" for dance in which she poses. Her first recital will be coming up next month. I can't even imagine the chaos, tears, fears and laughs that will be. A few weeks ago my neighbor, who works for the zoo, had a funraiser for earning money to travel to Mongolia to study cats. It was at the gymnastics training center and the kids had a blast. I sort of thought I was 15 again and I'll spare you the details!!! Needles to say I couldn't move for a few days. Enjoy the pictures.

How cute is she. My first attempt at making anything other than pillows, table runners or blankets. Reagan has named her "Gavin" (who happens to be the 'male' owner of her daycare).
