We were in Idaho for the 4th of July weekend. We spent time with family hanging out and doing some fun things. We roasted marshmellows and made smores, went jet skiing, and had a get together with Mike's family and "celebrated" Reagan's birthday....again. She's going to think a birthday is a week long celebration every year.
After our fun weekend, we left Reagan in Idaho with both sets of grandparents for the entire week!! Mike took the week off to get things accomplished around the house. I had Monday off and don't fall off your chairs now, but I pruned ALL our shrubs!! Gasp! I know, I DID YARD WORK! I have to admit it's probably the first time since we've owned a home that I got dirty - and very sore!
Oh! How fun!

Has she seen mom read the tag one too many times?

Happy 2nd Birthday Reagan!!
Friday, Reagan had her 2nd birthday! We cannot believe time has gone by so fast. We started the day having breakfast with Grandma Judy who was in town, then spent the rest of the day as a family doing fun things Reagan likes to do. Since it was her birthday she got to eat whatever she wanted but she still had to take a nap!! Saturday, we had a fun get together at Wheeler Farm with some of her buddies. In spite of being very hot, I think everyone had a fun time. The kids got to feed the ducks, ride the horseys, and run around.
At TWO, Reagan :
*loves to go on bike rides, play on her play set and in the sandbox, read books (especially Curious George), play "get me daddy", give hugs and kisses, go to the park and climb the BIG ladders to go down the slides, blow bubbles bubbles and MORE bubbles, Mac n Cheese, & coloring. She counts to 10, Says her ABC's, "mostly"
knows triangle, square and circle (yet she cannot really give you a straight answer on any of her colors)! She can recite many songs. She LOVES singing! Currently her favorites are Sunbeam, Happy Clap Your Hands, and Pokey Pokey.
Likes to "Move it Move it"
She is silly by nature and loves to make you laugh. Is very caring (always asks "Daddy/mommy etc you ok?" when she hears "ouch" or she sees you do something that might hurt she'll say "be careful". She wants to know what you are doing at all times to make sure she isn't missing something. Forever a daddy's girl and now our (hopefully not terrible) two year old. She is currently wanting to everything on her own in fact I spent 10 minutes watching her try to put on her jammies "all self" tonight! Here are a few pictures from the party.
Pee-yew what stinks?

Baseball!!
Mike's company had a family night event at the Bees game (minor league baseball team). We thought it would be a fun night out if Reagan wasn't to tired but she ended up being so good. She loved being there, danced with the music, clapped when they hit the ball and told the players to "run run".

Confused if that was a touchdown or homerun...

Summer Fun!
Fatherhood is Not for Sissies!
This is a book Mike's mom gave the "Father's" for their special day. I thought I'd include some quotes from the book.
*It's a Glorious day when a father is born - Barbara Paulding
*Raising kids is part joy and part guerrilla warfare - Ed Asner
*To become a father is not hard; to be a father is, however - Wilhelm Busch
*A baby has a way of making a man out of his father and a boy out of his grandfather - Angie Papadakis
*People who say they sleep like babies usually don't have them - Leo Burke
I'm surrounded by wonderful fathers. My Father, Mike's father, brothers, in-laws, etc. Reagan has so many wonderful examples of Father's, for which I am grateful. Her Father is the most important person in her life. She loves daddy! Mike is a great father. Reagan is his world. He would rather spend a day playing and hanging out with her than doing anything else.
To all the Father's out there - Happy Father's Day!

Birthday Fun!
Isn't it a wonder that after you have kids your birthday becomes more about your kids than it does you?? It's trying to find something that will be fun and entertaining for them so you can enjoy yourself also!
Course, The Mayan (a Mexican entertainment restaurant with divers and all) isn't exactly Reagan's idea of fun!! The water terrifies her, the divers aren't much excitement for her, and "we go home daddy" is often heard. However, we thought we'd torture her through a lunch :O) J/K. You can tell by her look that she's not too thrilled but after the dinner she is all giggles with Katie and Zoe. Afterwards, the girls went shopping and the boys (or men) took the girls to the park.
It was a great day turned 30 all over again.

Pennsylvania
I had a wonderful five days in PA. The weather was great, the company even better, and of course, the food was delicious. I did everything I wanted to...slept in late, went to movies, layed in the sun, and most importanlty relaxed! I felt a little guilty having all that free time and no responsibilities, but for the first time in a VERY long time I felt refreshed.
I've known the Oustrich family for a long time and I always feel welcome and at home in their company. Thank you Jennifer for being so willing to entertain (or movie hop) with me!
