Easter Weekend

We had an enjoyable Easter weekend in Idaho with family. The Easter bunny found Nana and Papa's house and delivered a digital camera for Rea, along with candy and a load of other good things. Now, when I go to use the camera, I'm hoping to not find 20 pictures of random blurry things (including Papa picking his nose or me feeding Kade!) that I have to delete. It was cold, cold, cold and windy so we didn't venture out to do any Easter Egg hunting. Reagan had one at school before we left so she didn't even ask to do one on our own.

Reagan, Kade and I stayed in Idaho for a few more days. Probably wasn't the most relaxing few days trying to please the two kids and keep peace at someone else's house, followed by Kade's first bout with an ear infection :( Let's hope this isn't the start of de ja vu (his pediatrician was surprised he had one at such a young age and didn't sound too promising at healthy ear outcome).

I love this picture...all three kids are watching Grandma Judy intently as she is telling the kids about the Easter Bunny visiting...all the fun stuff is inside.

This is a special one..this almost never happens! Great Grandpa Glen never holds the babies :O)

The story behind this is cute. Papa and Reagan would spend a VERY long time "playing" Twister. Papa would spin the dial then say "Do a somersault" or "put your head on the red circle". They made up their OWN rules and it worked great for Reagan...she loved it.

Need I say more about the following 3 pictures! Silly

Few Bowling Pics (minus the birthday boy?)

Guess I didn't do a very good job of taking birthday pictures. None of birthday boy but lots of people's rearends!

Yes, son, you have to endure this to the end

Happy Birthday Mike!

From this....

to this...

Today is Mike's thirty-something birthday. Let's just say that he overhears his age many times a day as "old". This coming from a mere twenty year olds' mouth.
We celebrated last Saturday with a fun time at Fat Cats bowling. Of course we all let him win so he would feel special. Then we ate pizza and had his favorite dessert...Angel Food cake (store bought, I'm not as good as his mom).

Happy Birthday Honey! I don't think you look a day over 20. You are an awesome dad, husband, friend, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, & son and we all love you!!!

The truth..

Is it possible that 6 weeks have already passed? Yep, it's the truth. The truth is, most of that time I probably wasn't really coherent!
Our little man is now usually only up once at night. Although sometimes he's awake for a few hours. We just can't get the sleep thing right in our house. Probably something we are doing wrong but I'll just blame the baby :) How easy you forget some things...
The truth is the past 6 weeks were indeed a fog. We have survived colds, coughs, strep, stomach flus, less than 2 hours of a sleep a night for many consecutive days, breakdowns, meltdowns, and all sorts ofs I'll spare you. But the sun is shining now and we are ready, wait, MORE than ready, for some nice weather to get out into, run in, play in, soak in, whatever.
The truth is in spite of all those things we "survived", this little man was more than worth it!!
We have had a few fun outings and visitors as well. Started going to Wheeler Farm which will become a weekly ritual. Mike's grandparents Pat and Bus came down for a little visit which we loved. Grandpa can tell stories like no other! My sister and her girls were down and took Reagan to some fun places, and Mike's mom came down again. Reagan got a "very big girl" bike which she is so proud of, and we are excited for the nice weather in order for her to enjoy it.
I, myself, have gotten in a lot of Food Network and HGTV! It's amazing how many hours you can sit and love on your newborn. Can never get enough squeezin', kissin', and cuddlin' on em. Reagan has a new array of skirts made up, a few shirts, a dress, and some hair bows. I've managed to get in a little spring cleaning, a lot of daydreaming, and make yummy dinners and treats daily. Here's a lot of random pictures!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

The week I had Kade was Valentine's week. I had promised Rea a few of her girlfriends could come over and we had stuff for a little party and cookies all ready. Well, obviously that never happened. So to help her feel a little special and loved and not so ignored, we invited Emily and Carly over (her two little girlfriends from school). WOW!!! I'm pretty sure 3 little girls make more noise, mess, and fuss than a dozen boys. Yikes! Never heard so much screaming at the top of their lungs, loud burps, and tornadoes hitting every room. However, they had fun and that's all that matters.

Pretty much how silly they always are

Took her 15 minutes to decorat this ONE cookie

You can't really see the mess on her face but all three of them were covered in flour within 2 minutes. They would rub their faces in it & splash it around

It was a challenge

My friend took the following pictures. She did great and we are really happy with them! It was a few hours of sweating (on her part), peeing and pooping (on Kade's part), and craziness (all around). No sleepy pictures for him (he's mostly faking in these!). It's probably a huge pain for photographers to take pictures of babies so thanks a million Kim!

Tap

Reagan was moved up a class in dance so now it's tap....5 minutes after obtaining tap shoes (thanks to Kid to Kid I didn't have to pay a fortune)..mom had an intense headache. Here's her demo...is it tap...or is she having a seizure! You'll never know :O)

3 weeks old

Kade will be three weeks old tomorrow. If he had gone until due date he would be 2 days old! Last week at his 2 weeks he was up a pound. He is filling out fast and the past 2 nights we have had success with longer sleeping times. He's such a cutie and we just adore him. Isn't it a wonder how you can never snuggle or kiss a baby too much!

Camera crazy

What you find when you download is always a surprise. Reagan loves to take pictures.

Is it wrong?

To have a 3 year old do manual labor?

Speaking of Happy Feet.....

don't these feet look happy to you?
