When not to be honest.....
Long day at work, feet tired, eyes burning. Pick up tired, but cute child from daycare. She has cute hair again, thanks to Miss Gabby! If only she would sit still and let me do something more than "one pony mom". One day.....Rush into store to look at cute new clothes, try on for size, rush out with child begging for candy, soda, anything. Stop at light. Give cute-haired child snacks while she complains non-stop that she wants to see daddy, space out and start thinking about a list of 100 things to do this week, how tired I am, how am I going to be 3 places at once tomorrow, release brake of car, smack into car....OOPS!!! @#$#% word comes out of mouth. (&*(&* word again. Oh crud Mike is going to kill me. Get out of car while man in nice mercedes is gazing over his bumper with a microscope. MIRACLE! Nothing, not even a scratch (then why the loud 'crash' when I hit him!). Climb into car shaking and relieved the insurance won't go up. "Mommy, does someone have an owie?", "No baby, everyone is JUST fine". Pick up hungry husband for a fast food dinner run. Not 2 minutes hubby is in the car and cute-haired daughter says "Mommy crashed into the man". @#%$$# Dang, got caught!!! And now I teach here a valuable lesson of when not to be honest :O) Gotta love kids.

Some days life is crazy like that...so glad you didn't get hurt.
So funny. Reminded me of another time when we went somewhere for a Vball tryout (Utah?) and someone hit us just like that. Do you remember that? You are right - kids keep us honest and they seem to ALWAYS be paying attention even when we think they aren't.
